After my awakening I began to see things from a different perspective. Different from the one I had before. As I have been maneuvering through this “new” life I have picked up some bad habits. One being that I am less tolerate of people who do not see the world as I do. Less tolerate of people who are closed- minded and judgmental.

I have always considered myself to be very open minded. Accepting people for who they are. I try not to judge because I don’t know the whole story. The stories behind why individuals behave in a specific manner.

My view has been one sided, ego driven and I have realized that this habit causes laziness. You see when you are closed off to others you don’t have to rationalize how your own view fits into what the experience/interaction is trying to teach you. Life is full of opportunities to advance your own knowledge through experience but if you refuse to have the experiences you remain stagnate. Never growing, never learning and never broadening your outlook about life.

I believe everyone has something valuable to teach everyone else. Not all of these lessons will be pleasant ones but they are necessary to ensure growth. As well as, enhancing the ability to be understanding and compassionate.
